In the MHK investigation, child abuse content was detected from Ferdi Karadoruk's WhatsApp account.

There has been a new development in the MHK investigation.

A remarkable finding was reached in the digital examination carried out within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Central Arbitration Board (MHK).

In the expert report entered into the file, it was determined that a sexually explicit video file in which children were abused was uploaded via the WhatsApp account verified by the phone number used by Ferdi Karadoruk, President of the Istanbul Branch of the Turkey Active Football Referees and Observers Association (TFFHGD).

NCMEC REPORT IS INCLUDED IN THE FILE

In the expert report, in the report numbered 184346648 of the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), it was noted that a video containing sexual abuse of the child in question was uploaded via WhatsApp on January 11, 2024, at 17.46. The report included information that the account was verified with Ferdi Karadoruk's phone number and that Karadoruk's IP address was also used during the transaction.

The report also included the assessment that the images are not accessible through an ordinary search on the internet or through general pornographic sites, and that such content is generally provided in private sharing groups and in exchange for money.

FERDİ KARADORUK DEFENDED HIMSELF

In the investigation carried out within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the number through which the WhatsApp account in question was verified was used by Ferdi Karadoruk on the date of the incident. In his statement, Karadoruk admitted that he had been using the line for 18 years and that the line was registered to his mother.

While Karadoruk argued that he did not share the content himself, he claimed that his WhatsApp account was taken over by third parties and his account was hacked in January 2024.

NO FINDING OF HACKING IN E-MAIL RECORDS

Karadoruk stated that he sent an e-mail to WhatsApp support on January 15, 2024, claiming that his account was compromised, and submitted screenshots of this to the investigation file. However, during the expert examination, a different detail about the e-mail emerged.

"Whatsapp Account Blocked! IMPORENT LEVEL!" sent by Karadoruk to WhatsApp. In the e-mail titled, it was determined that he complained about his account being blocked. However, it was determined that there was no notification in the e-mail that the account was stolen or hacked by third parties.

Another detail noted in the expert report was the date. It was stated that the date of January 15, 2024, when Karadoruk applied to WhatsApp support unit, was the same date when the NCMEC report was created as PDF.

EXPERT COULD NOT ACCESS HACKING DATA

In the report, it was stated that after NCMEC reported the accounts that were found to have uploaded or downloaded obscene images featuring children, the relevant platforms could block access to these accounts.

In this context, it was evaluated that the blocking of Karadoruk's WhatsApp account did not mean that the account was taken over by third parties. In the expert report prepared by Forensic Information Technology-HTS Analysis Specialist İbrahim Erol, it was concluded that as a result of examining the data in the file, no data was found to support the claim that the WhatsApp account used by Karadoruk on the date of the incident was stolen or hacked by third parties.
