Quaest research released this Thursday (24) shows how the dispute for the Senate is going in Sergipe. The survey was commissioned by TV Sergipe.
In 2026, two senators will be elected in each state and in the Federal District, to renew 54 of the 81 seats. Therefore, each voter must vote for two different candidates. You cannot choose the same name twice.
In Quaest's spontaneous survey — in which the names are not shown to the voters interviewed — 58% are undecided, because they were unable to name a candidate. In the last survey it was 79%.
In the stimulated survey, the list of candidates is shown, and each interviewee needs to answer twice for who they intend to vote for: for the first vacancy and, then, for the second vacancy.
The results of the survey for the Senate consider the mentions for the first and second vacancies in a total that adds up to 100% of voting intentions and maintains the proportion between candidates, blanks/nulls and undecided candidates. See the numbers below:

Doctor Tatyanne Aguillera, wife of Jalser Renier (PSDB), and supporters gathered in front of the Federal Police headquarters in Boa Vista after the candidate's arrest on suspicion of electoral crime and criminal association. The group prayed and sang hymns. Renier was arrested during an operation investigating money laundering, when R$19,000 in cash and campaign spreadsheets were found. His defense considered the bail of more than R$160,000 absurd, but the police chief revoked the bail and added the criminal association category, a crime that does not allow bail. He remains in prison and awaits a custody hearing.
