Quaest survey shows Flávio Bolsonaro ahead of Lula in Rio Grande do Sul for the 2026 elections

Quaest survey released this Thursday (24) shows how the dispute for the Presidency of the Republic is going in the 1st round among voters in Rio Grande do Sul. The survey was commissioned by Grupo RBS.

See below the results of the stimulated survey, in which Quaest shows the list of candidates to the voters interviewed.

Flávio Bolsonaro (PL): 35% (it was 34% in August)

Lula (PT): 31% (it was 28% in August)

Writer Augusto Cury (Avante): 4% (it was 2% in August)

Ronaldo Caiado (PSD): 3% (it was 3% in August)

Renan Santos (Mission): 2% (it was 2% in August)

Romeu Zema (New): 1% (it was 2% in August)

Hertz Dias (PSTU): 0% (was 0% in August)

Clariana Barão (DC): 0% (it was 0% in August)

Veterinarian Wilson Grassi (Democrat): 0% (was 1% in August)

Edmilson Costa (PCB): 0% (was 0% in August)

Leonardo Avalanche (PRTB): 0% (was not in the previous survey*)

Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO): 0% (was 0% in August)

Samara Martins (UP): 0% (it was 0% in August)

Undecided: 16% (was 18% in August)

Blank/null/will not vote: 8% (was 10% in August)

*Leonardo Avalanche returned to be the PRTB candidate after the Electoral Court barred Pablo Marçal, who is ineligible.

For 83% of voters interviewed in the survey, the choice of candidate is definitive. Another 17% say they can still change their vote until the elections on October 4th.

Quaest interviewed 900 voters aged 16 and over between the 20th and 23rd of September. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, plus or minus, and the confidence level is 95%. The TSE registration number is RS-01390/2026.
