The funeral of Jan Frycz has begun

At At 11 a.m. in the Farewell Hall at Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw, the funeral of actor Jan Frycz began. At 13 from St. Gate The procession will start at Powązki Stare to the grave in the Avenue of the Meritorious.

The family, informing about the actor's final journey, asked that instead of flowers, donations should be made to the Home of Veteran Artists of Polish Stages in Skolimów. In addition to Jan Frycz's loved ones, the entire community of Polish culture and art mourns. Actor friends and other artists are present at the ceremony. The ceremony is of a state nature.

Jan Frycz passed away on August 15 at the age of 72.

The actor died on August 15 at his family home, surrounded by his loved ones. His death was announced on August 17 by the National Theater in Warsaw.

Jan Frycz created hundreds of acting roles, permanently marking his place in the history of Polish film and theater. He was professionally active until his last moments. In the week before his departure, he began rehearsals for "The Oresteia" directed by Luke Perceval.

The outstanding Jan Frycz will be remembered, among others, as Dario from the series "Blinded by the Lights", the strict, despotic father Andrzej Winkler from the movie "Welts" or as Stomil from the play "Tango" by Sławomir Mrożek, directed by Jerzy Jarocki.
