Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan Brings Up Fund Crisis Allegations

Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan made statements regarding the fund crisis in the "Leaders Special" program broadcast on KRT TV.

Pointing out that the news about the former minister was directed from a single center, Arıkan said, "The button was pressed from a command center and the indomitable defenders of the government, I put it in quotation marks, said in chorus that the minister should resign, that she was doing something wrong. In other words, this Miss Betül will be sacrificed, so to speak, an attempt will be made to cover up the incident."

Stating that all segments of the society are talking about these allegations, Arıkan said, "The patriots in the market are talking about this. The patriots in the village are talking about this fund issue. The spear does not fit in the sack anymore." Emphasizing that not only the immediate results but also the actual fiction should be discussed, Arıkan said, "Today's result is a result of the system that was built for 24 years. We are not discussing the system that was built for those 24 years, if you are aware... That fiction, that order started in 2021. 2021 is an important year; this company was founded in the year when we were gray listed and suspicions were focused on us."

Arıkan criticized the government's steps by saying, "I think the process will be closed by making a few sacrifices."

"WE NEED TO GET OUT OF THE PARTY CORRUPTION SYSTEM"

Stating that the current situation emerged "thanks to a mechanism integrated with the government", Arıkan said, "We need to get out of the party presidential government system, the government system where the party leader is the president, as soon as possible. Secondly, we need to get out of the party corruption system."

Referring to the discussions on corruption in politics, Arıkan said, "The fight between 'Your thief, my thief' has begun. Yours stole more, mine stole less... We need mechanisms that will get out of this spiral as soon as possible and increase the moral structure." Stating that the process should be cleaned with the cooperation of the government and the opposition, Arıkan said, "We need to launch a mobilization with the government and the opposition and clean those intestines that way."

Criticizing the government's intervention in events with a fire metaphor, Arıkan said, "The government does this; a fire breaks out, it follows the fire... When the fire starts to hurt the government, the fire brigade goes there. It extinguishes the fire... Your job is not to extinguish the fire after the fire breaks out. Your job is to eliminate the dangers that will cause a fire before it breaks out."

Stating that the statements and actions of the ruling officials do not match each other, Arıkan said, "The ruling officials base their sentences on narcoticing the society" and reminded the economic losses experienced in the past. Arıkan said, "60 billion dollars of our money evaporated as a result of Exchange-Protected Deposits. 128 billion dollars of our money evaporated and disappeared with the Central Bank operations."

"IF YOU PROCEED TO THE END, EVERYTHING WILL BE REVEALED"

Drawing attention to the size of the allegations on the agenda, Arıkan said, "800 billion is easy to say, but we are talking about the biggest corruption in the history of the Republic, we are talking about the biggest problem." Stating that the process can be clarified in a transparent manner, Arıkan said, "The stock market has this beauty, the funds have this beauty: Everything is recorded. In other words, there is no chance of doing such a secret business. If it is carried out to the end, everything will be revealed. Let's see if this issue will be a litmus test."
