Schools in Saudi Arabia are switching to distance education

According to the messages sent by schools to parents, classes will be held online between September 27 and October 1 through "Madresseti" and other approved education platforms.

An official statement has not yet been made by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education or the Riyadh Education Directorate regarding the reason for the decision.

Although there are evaluations in the local press that the decision to switch schools to distance education may be related to the tension in the region, there is no official statement establishing a direct connection between the decision and security developments. The security issue has come to the fore in Saudi Arabia in recent days due to missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks by the Houthis in Yemen against the country.
