Tajani on the electoral law: priority to the economy. Ipsos survey: FdI stable, Lega and FI down

"No snipers, the electoral law will be approved, but it is not the priority, the priority as far as we are concerned is the economy." This is how FI deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani responds on the sidelines of the party's regional congress to those who ask him if he can guarantee that among the Azzurri there will be no snipers on the electoral law in the Chamber.

Fratelli d'Italia remains stable at 26.4%, while the League drops to 4.7% (-0.4%) and Forza Italia estimated at 7.3% with a loss of one percentage point in a month. These are the voting trends analyzed by pollster Nando Pagnoncelli, based on a survey carried out for Corriera della Sera by Ipsos Doxa.

According to the data, explains Pagnoncelli, "the sum of the coalitions brings the center-right without Vannacci to 39.4%, down by more than one point, and the expanded center-left to 44.5%". As we have already seen in other moments - says Pagnoncelli - the arithmetic sum does not always correspond to the hypothetical result, when not only individual parties but also structured coalitions are competing". "In this case - he adds - in fact the progressive coalition is estimated at 43.9% and the traditional center-right is estimated at 38.7%. Vannacci's presence would see a narrow prevalence of the enlarged centre-right which would reach 45.7% while the progressive alliance would reach 45.2%. "In essence, the presence of Vannacci - continues Pagnoncelli - at the moment for these voting flows does not in itself guarantee victory given the close proximity of the two coalitions".

According to the data, the executive's approval rating is at 40, in July it was 42, while that of Giorgia Meloni went from 42 to 41. "Even in the evaluation of the leaders the changes are generally limited: some small setbacks for Tajani from 26 to 24 probably due to a certain opacity of the party's profile and the recent communication mishap". Even for Vannacci, Pagnoncelli underlines "despite the increase in his party's consensus", there is a decline from 21st to 19th.
