Grand National Assembly of Turkey New Legislative Year Opening Date and Program Announced

Historical research continues regarding when the Parliament will open. The Parliament, which will evaluate many agenda items in the new legislative year, will start the new legislative year in October. So, when will the Parliament pass it into law?

ASSEMBLY OPENING DATE

With the participation of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, a wreath will be laid at the Atatürk Monument in the Parliament at 13.00, a moment of silence will be observed and the National Anthem will be sung for the opening of the 28th Term, 5th Legislative Year.

Following the ceremony at the monument, the GNAT General Assembly will be opened at 14.00 under the chairmanship of GNAT Speaker Kurtulmuş.

After his introduction speech, Kurtulmuş will introduce President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the General Assembly, and then the National Anthem will be sung. Later, President Erdoğan will address the General Assembly.

The traditional reception given by the parliamentary speakers for the opening of the legislative year will be hosted by Kurtulmuş at the GNAT Ceremony Hall at 18.30.

At the opening of the legislative year, no visitors will be admitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, except for those who are invited by state protocol.

The General Assembly will hold its first session of the new legislative year on October 6.
