Vicenza, two men arrested for the kidnapping of a minor

Yesterday evening the Vicenza Police arrested two Senegalese citizens, aged 22 and 24, accused of kidnapping a minor boy in the province of Bergamo.

The operation was launched after a complaint presented to the Carabinieri of Ponte San Pietro (Bergamo) by the boy's mother, in anguish for the fate of her son, who had reported having received some messages from him from which a situation of danger and coercion clearly emerged.

The checks revealed that the boy had been approached and taken away the evening before against his will outside a pizzeria in the Bergamo area by two men who had forced him to get into a car headed towards the Vicenza area. The two wanted to be paid for an affair linked to the sale of counterfeit banknotes.

Thanks to the geolocation of the minor's mobile phone, the crews of the Vicenza Police Headquarters quickly concentrated their searches in the Berico capital. They then tracked down the young man near the Ponte degli Angeli, still in the company of the two kidnappers, near a B&B where he had been forced to spend the night.

The two were thus blocked and arrested, then taken to the prison. The minor was returned to his mother.
