During the four-day Mid-Autumn Festival, there are a lot of people traveling and returning home. The Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail Corporation warned today (26th) evening that the next wave of people will appear tomorrow and the day after tomorrow (27th and 28th), especially next Monday (28th) from 4 pm to 7 pm, which will be the "super peak travel period."

The Taiwan High-Speed ​​Rail Corporation said that it urges passengers who plan to take unreserved seats to avoid these periods, choose off-peak hours or use other means of transportation to avoid long waits. It also urges unreserved seat passengers to check the estimated "reserved seat waiting time" before departure, use the green light period, and board in separate groups. Station staff will also strengthen guidance for passengers with reserved seats to get on the train first, and passengers with unrestricted seats are asked to separate their rides according to their destinations.

The high-speed rail company said that based on past transportation experience, it is estimated that the increased travel volume on the outbound journey will allow people to take the high-speed rail to return to work starting tomorrow (27th). The high-speed rail company specifically calls on passengers who want to take unreserved seats. First, take advantage of off-peak and dispersed rides. Before preparing to take unreserved seats, you can check the high-speed rail company website, "T-EX Mobile Ticketing" App or LINE TODAY "Life Channel" in advance to know the estimated "reserved seat waiting time" lights at each station on the day, and take advantage of off-peak hours with green lights.

The High-Speed ​​Railway Company said that in response to the crowds during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day holidays (9/24~9/29), all 34 train groups are currently dispatched, and a total of 176 additional trains are operated in 6 days (70 southbound and 106 northbound), providing a total of 1,150 travel services in 6 days.

The N700ST new-generation trains recently introduced by Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail from Japan have also arrived in Taiwan and are undergoing various necessary safety tests. The first batch of N700ST trains are expected to be officially put into operation in July next year, and will use greater capacity by then.
