The "Opinions" emphasize that we must adhere to the starting point of meeting the people's diversified life needs and improving people's well-being, promote the branding, integration, and market-oriented development of sports events, enrich the supply of high-quality events, and play an active role in expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption.

The "Opinions" propose that by 2030, a modern event system with Chinese characteristics will be basically formed, a number of sports events with world influence will be cultivated, industrial synergy will be significantly improved, event consumption vitality will be effectively stimulated, and strong support will be provided for high-quality economic and social development.

The "Opinions" deployed 17 major tasks in 5 aspects. The first is to strengthen the supply of events and activities. Enrich competitive sports events, improve the development level of professional events, support the development of amateur events, and promote international exchanges and cooperation in events. The second is to deepen the integrated development of events. Deeply explore the potential of the integration of events and culture and tourism, promote the coordinated development of events and business, and promote the integration of events and technological innovation. The third is to stimulate competition consumption vitality. Expand event consumption scenarios and enhance event consumption experience. The fourth is to lay a solid foundation for the development of the event. Cultivate a group of event operating entities with strong market competitiveness and high degree of professionalism, improve venue facilities, strengthen talent training, and strengthen the development, implementation and application of standards such as competition guidelines and participation guidelines. The fifth is to improve management support capabilities. Optimize service management, promote the further opening of public resources such as mountains, forests, roads, etc. to sports events in a reasonable and orderly manner in accordance with the law, strengthen event management, and strengthen safety guarantees.
