The phone numbers of French presidential candidates were publicly available on pirated sites.

PARIS, September 29 – RIA Novosti. The telephone numbers of French presidential candidates, including the head of the parliamentary faction of the National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, were available when searching through pirated search aggregator sites, reports radio station RTL.

“When searching for the queries “(founder of the left-wing party Unbowed France - ed.) Jean-Luc Mélenchon”, “(ex-Prime Minister of France, head of the center-right Horizons party - ed.) Edouard Philippe” or “Marine Le Pen”, in particular, telephone numbers appear in the results,” the material says.

According to RTL, pirate search aggregator sites also provide data related to the leader of the French right-wing Reconquista party, Eric Zemmour. At the same time, depending on the name, they can give out the person’s date of birth, license plates of his car, information about membership in sports federations, as well as his social security number.

The radio station noted that pirated search aggregator sites use stolen databases and operate on a paid basis, providing the user with a trial period and then charging for further queries.
