DPP Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang and Taipei Mayor Chiang Wanan were expected to attend a party at Zhongzhuangzi Fudong Palace in Zhongshan District today (26th), but the two did not meet, and their supporters were on both sides of the venue. However, Shen Boyang's supporters were very strong, and the temple authorities also treated him with special courtesy. Lin Chunyu, chairman of Fude Palace, said that Jiang Wanan would come when he was a legislator, but never came when he was mayor, and now he is coming again for the election. Shen Boyang also promised on the spot that he was from the Rural Research Society and would definitely come back if elected.

He said that legislator Wang Shijian had specifically told him to support Shen Boyang, and he hoped that fellow villagers would be able to do the same. He also revealed that when Jiang Wanan was a legislator, he came to Fude Palace every year. He was unable to come once, and even called him to ask for leave. As a result, he has not come once since he became mayor, and he did not even come to personally send an invitation. He is only coming now before the election.

Shen Boyang said that after being elected, he would definitely come back again, and the supporters cheered in unison. He said that he is the president of the local research club and has been visiting temples since he was 16 years old. No matter what happens in the future, he will definitely come often.

He mentioned that Datong, Zhongshan, has a lot of history and culture. It used to be an important tile town and witnessed the development of Taipei City. It is the cornerstone of Taipei. However, the city government has too few resources. If he becomes the mayor, he wants to turn this area into the most stable area. The buildings, care for the elderly and children, and resilience must be the best, because this is the starting point of Taipei City. He also reminded that although his political stance was different from that of Chiang Wanan, ocean currents should bring warmth, and he hoped that everyone would maintain their grace. He also asked the public to give him advice as he greeted him from table to table.
