In recent years, there have been a large number of vacancies for regular teachers. After senior acting teachers have been "recruited" and transferred to regular teachers one after another, many schools are faced with the dilemma of still being unable to find acting teachers after recruiting them. Many university teacher training courses are no longer popular. In a previous interview with this newspaper, Education Minister Zheng Yingyao proposed the direction of teacher training reform. Students who have completed education credits in the future are expected to serve as acting teachers for one year in exchange for educational internships. He also authorized local governments to cooperate with "local, high-quality" teacher training universities to cultivate publicly funded students in subjects based on rural areas and local needs.
