Debt Issue, Hostage and Assault Incident in Kağıthane: 4 Arrests

The incident took place in the Merkez District of Kağıthane, Istanbul. According to the information obtained, Hakan Ç. (25) and Görkem Serkan T. (25) were beaten in a house, allegedly due to a debt issue.

THEY WERE INJURED IN MANY PLACES

According to the news in DHA, 2 people, whose hands and feet were tied with duct tape, were held hostage at home for 3 days. Hakan Ç. was beaten during this period. and Görkem Serkan T. had wounds on their faces and various parts of their bodies.

POLICE TAKE ACTION ON REPORT

On Sunday, September 20, at around 15:00, Kağıthane Patrol Teams Headquarters and Public Security Bureau teams took action upon the notice that there was a handcuffed person with an injured face at home.

KAĞITHANE POLICE SAVED

The police who entered the house, Hakan Ç. He found Görkem Serkan T. beaten and his hands and feet tied with duct tape. While the teams rescued 2 people, they detained Zeki A. (28), who was in the house. During the searches at the house, 1 unlicensed gun, a magazine, 7 bullets and a dagger were seized.

The moments when the two people were rescued by the police 3 days after they entered the building were recorded with a mobile phone camera. In the images, Hakan Ç. and Görkem Serkan T., duct tapes on their hands and feet and traces of beatings on their faces can be seen. There are also moments when police teams entered the house and rescued 2 people.

HE CRIED, SAYING "MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED"

In the footage, the hostages are seen crying, saying, "Oh my God, you are so great, my prayers have been accepted." On the other hand, Kağıthane Public Security Bureau teams examined the security camera footage and identified the other suspects involved in the incident.

İdris A. (21), Tarık O. (21) and Suat Eren D. (22) were detained at different addresses in Kağıthane. The moments when the suspects entered the building and the hostages entered the building from the parking lot were recorded on the security camera.

4 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

On the other hand, it was learned that Zeki A., who was detained, had 7 visits to the police for the crimes of 'Drug dealing', 'Drug use', 'Open theft' and 'Snatching', and Suat Eren D. had 2 visits to the police for the crime of 'Deliberate wounding'.

It was stated that İdris A. had records of coming to the police for the crimes of 'Drug use' and 'Negligent wounding', and Tarık O. for 'Violation of the firearms law', 'Blackmail' and 'Deliberate wounding'.

THE BATTERED PEOPLE ARE RELEASED

It was learned that Hakan Ç., who was held hostage at home, had 1 visit to the police for the crime of 'Drug use', and Görkem Serkan T. had 14 visits to the police for 'Drug trafficking', 'Drug use', 'Insult' and 'Negligent injury'.

Zeki A., İdris A., Tarık O. and Suat Eren D., who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures, were arrested by the court. Hakan C. and Görkem Serkan T. were released on condition of judicial control.
