President Erdoğan met with representatives of the Turkish and Muslim communities in New York

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed Turkish citizens and representatives of the Muslim community living in the USA at the meeting held in New York, USA.

Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran also made the following statements in his post about the program:

"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with our citizens and representatives of the Muslim community living in the USA at the meeting organized by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC), Union of International Democrats (UID), MÜSİAD and the US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) in New York. Stating that the meeting that brought together the Turkish and American Muslim communities reflects a strong spirit of brotherhood and solidarity beyond passports, borders and geographies, our President said that the necessity of brotherhood is to support each other, to support each other, to support each other. He stated that his aim was to comply with the law and not to build walls between each other due to differences of opinion.

Noting that the Turkish, cognate and Muslim communities in America have reached significant human resources, experience and institutional capacity, our President said that the successes achieved in many fields from business to science, from academia to health, from law to technology also contribute to the friendship between Turkey and the USA.

"YES TO INTEGRATION, NO TO ALL TYPES OF ASSIMILATION"

Our President drew attention to the importance of the Turkish community preserving its own language, culture and ties with its homeland while participating strongly in the social, economic and cultural life of the country where it is located, and emphasized that they said "yes" to integration and "no" to all kinds of assimilation. He expressed the importance of children and young people receiving quality education and turning individual achievements into strong institutions and a permanent accumulation that is passed on from generation to generation.

To fight stronger against anti-Muslim, anti-foreign and all kinds of discrimination; Stating that preventing what happened in Gaza from recurring in other places and developing trade, investment and economic cooperation between Turkey and the USA is possible through strong solidarity, our President asked Turkish and Muslim communities to continue working in unity and solidarity.

Stating that Turkey is always with them, our President stated that they are proud of the success of our citizens living in America and our friends who have established a bond with Turkey, and expressed his hope that the work carried out in unity and brotherhood will become even stronger."
