Russian air strikes in Ukraine: At least three dead

Kyiv. New Russian airstrikes in Ukraine have killed at least three people and injured more than 20 others, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In the southern industrial city of Kryvyi Rih alone, there were 2 dead and 14 injured after a ballistic missile attack, as Zelensky, who comes from there, announced on Telegram. One person was also killed in Sumy in the northeast of the country. Six people were injured in the Russian attacks in the capital Kiev and the surrounding area.

“Emergency services are deployed at the sites of morning and night Russian attacks,” Zelensky said. The fires in Kyiv were quickly extinguished. A book market was also hit in the Ukrainian capital. “Everywhere the Russians reach with their missiles, they attack civilian infrastructure,” the president said. He warned of another wave of attacks.

According to Zelensky, Russia fired more than 1,550 drones, almost 1,560 bombs and 62 rockets and cruise missiles into the country this week. Zelensky again called on Ukraine's allies to provide the country with anti-aircraft defense rates.

“If North Korean missiles destroy the infrastructure here in Europe and claim human lives, we cannot allow European interceptor missiles to simply remain in storage,” said Zelensky. He recently accused Russia of using missiles supplied by North Korea. “Russia must be stopped.”

In the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, which has been going on for four and a half years, experts have recently recorded an increasing escalation of violence. Both sides are using ever faster and more long-range weapons. More and more civilians are dying in mutual attacks with drones, rockets and cruise missiles.
